ATLANTA – Power the Vote (www.powerthevote.org) announced that it has partnered with the Democratic Party of Georgia to fund five voter protection staff for the 2024 cycle. Power the Vote’s investments will support the DPG’s ongoing efforts to ensure that elections in Georgia are more free, fair, and accessible for all voters.
Power the Vote Co-Founder Kimberley Allen said, “Georgia is where it all started for us – my co-founders and I led the Democratic Party of Georgia’s voter protection program in 2020 when the state flipped blue for the first time. So we know as well as anyone: voter protection is absolutely essential for empowering Georgia voters and securing Democratic wins up and down the ballot.”
The staff funded will allow the DPG to scale up its voter protection programs in advance of the 2024 primary elections and lay the groundwork for November. After November, Power the Vote is committed to continuing to build on the lessons learned and carry the program forward for the 2026 cycle and beyond.
